Equal parts Funeral For A Friend and Dashboard Confessional is prevalent on this crashing single that hurls itself at the topic of nostalgia and regret. However, the tale has a positive tinge to it, as it tells of an end to the regret via the longing vocals of JonahMatranga that gives Gratitude a bit of steel. Channelled anger comes through at the halfway point of the song via the jolting guitars that add a sense of urgency.

-A Dashboard Confessional cloned acoustic b-side; ‘If Ever’ illuminates heart on sleeve honesty and crisply conveyed feeling. Although many try, bands find it difficult to replicate Christopher Ender Carrabba’s emotion laden crispness, but Matranga has obviously been practising. Gratitude is owed a debt for their confident and broad approach to making music.
