Album Review
As power pop goes, the Goo Goo Dolls were up there. Their album Dizzy Up The Girl is still a great listen, but this is so firmly in mediocre Jeremy Clarkson so-so rock that you wonder if it took more than a couple of hours to write the songs.
Even the best songs - the title song and the cover of Supertramp's Give A Little Bit (ten minutes saved writing one song, anyway) - are weak, and wouldn't have made the cut for their earlier discs. When bands like Lifehouse, Third Eye Blind and 3 Doors Down offer a more compelling experience, there's something wrong.
It's hard to know if Glen Ballard's production (known for Alanis Morisette) is to blame, but this middle of the road rock radio friendly sound is just dull and boring. Let Love In is the sound of rich men playing light rock in too tight jeans.

What an absolute load of crap!
Great album, great band, great live act! 'nuff said!
OUTSTANDING album!! If only Rzenik could take over vocals from Robby it would
be heaven from beginning to end. Saw them in Portland Wednesday, and for a
first night out they had everything down pat. Also LOVED companion band
Augustana. Bought album on the spot. This is a group review from me, 45, and
my daughter, 19. Rock on!
