Goal 2 is the sequel to the international movie hit 'Goal' and continues the story of Santiago Munez (Kuno Becker) - the aspiring footballer who escapes his poverty-stricken origins through the beautiful game. Santiago's journey has taken him from the gritty streets of Los Angeles to begin his career in Europe.
In 'Goal 2' Santiago has become a star at Newcastle United, but now he's ready to move up a level to the biggest club in the world: Real Madrid.

David Beckham and fellow Real Madrid team-mates Zidane and Raul also line up in the film, thanks to the Spanish club's total co-operation. The result is the most astonishing football movie you'll ever see, featuring unprecedented football action sequences. With recent headlines you'll wonder where movie fiction ends and real life begins.

'Goal 2' also stars Anna Friel as Santiago's fianceé Roz and Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner, The Hitcher) as Real Madrid manager Rudi Van Der Merwe.
