Experience this Unique "Visual
Album"
Presentation with 1 Giant Leap Creators Jamie Catto and Duncan
Bridgeman.
"The result is something beautiful,
hard to describe, and deeply moving - particularly in these times
of international discord." Premiere.
"1 Giant Leap is both a substantial
cultural document of our times and a stunning listening
experience."
London's UNCUT
Palm Pictures is proud to present 1 Giant Leap, the "visual
album" of the millennium. In celebration of 1 Giant Leap -
a unique fusion of music, words, global rhythms, and images from
around the world - creators Jamie Catto and Duncan Bridgeman will
tour New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco to introduce this
interactive
experience.
Following the 1 Giant Leap presentation's European success, Catto
and Bridgeman will bring this tour to America.
Keeping with the project's "expect the unexpected"
approach,
it will be shown at the Angel Orensanz Synagogue in New York,
Bimbo's
365 Club in San Francisco and the American Cinematheque's
Egyptian
Theatre in Los Angeles.
These presentations will transport people on a "global field
trip" that will enable them to embrace diversity and enhance
their understanding of humankind around the world.
This "visual album" demonstration features a special
45-minute
presentation of edited segments of the 12 chapters from the
forthcoming
DVD, and will be shown via digital, laptop projection.
The stunning music videos for the songs "Braided Hair"
(featuring Arrested Development's Speech) and "My
Culture"
(featuring superstar Robbie Williams and Maxi Jazz) will also be
viewed. With "Unity in Diversity" as the project's
running
theme, a truly thought-provoking and inspiring Q&A session
with
Jamie and Duncan will follow to discuss1 Giant Leap's genesis,
their
journey to over 20 countries, and the digital creation and
production
of audio and visual components of the project.
1 Giant Leap features Kurt Vonnegut,
Michael
Stipe, Dennis Hopper, Brian Eno, Robbie Williams, Baaba Maal,
Michael
Franti, Body Shop Founder, Anita Roddick, spiritual leader Ram
Dass
and many others.
The album is in stores soon, and the DVD
comes out summer 2002 on Palm Pictures.
