Freq Nasty, a.k.a. Darin Mcfadyen, releases the third single in his series of 12”s from last year's acclaimed album, ‘Bring Me The Head Of Freq Nasty'. Freq Nasty is a pioneer. He's creating music that is progressive, well sequenced, full of character and full of energy. ‘Sil Num Tao' is no different. The influences are definitely from funk but he's progressing that sound by fusing techno, breakbeat, and drum and bass with it. This 70's funk feel and perhaps David Holmes

influences are quite hard to detect so you would have to be quite an astute listener to observe it. The reason for this is that Freq Nasty has progressed this sound so much that he's created something new. ‘Sil Num Tao' is a break-beat, dance track but completely original to what I've heard before. This single is not easy listening. There's a lot going on and it's quite industrial however if your looking for something new in the world of progressive sampled music this could definitely be the one for you.
