Topping the album chart upon its release, Franz Ferdinand's "You Could Have It So Much Better" confirmed that the quartet had become one of the UK's biggest bands. They'll be blazing a trail at festivals across the globe over the coming months, before headlining the Carling Festival on August bank holiday weekend.

Recorded during the course of their US tour, the new version of "Eleanor Put Your Boots On" is noticeably different from the original, but far from a radical departure. Indeed, when the two versions are played back-to-back they amalgamate with one another, making it difficult to see why the track was rehashed. Regardless, it is a pleasant acoustic track, and proves the band don't need an infectious riff to hook you in.
