Following the recent successes of nu-ravers, Klaxons, Brooklyn's Foreign Islands are trying to make a mark with their charmingly slapdash take on dance-punk.

The scratchy guitars, odd rhythmic shifts and yelping vocals are all very well, but it lacks the originality required to make it essential. That said, it's a promising start, and they may have better up their sleeves for their album.
