Fightstar will be releasing 'We Apologise For Nothing' on September 17th, 2007 through Institute Recordings. It is the first single proper to be taken from their second album 'One Day Son This Will All Be Yours' and will be available for download from September 10th, 2007 followed by a physical release on September 17th.

'We Apologise For Nothing' will also be available on 2 x 7' formats. The first will be in a gatefold sleeve which the second 7' will slot into. The band have recorded some cracking b-sides for the vinyl release, covering Silverchair's 'Abuse Me'; Judas Priest's ' Breaking The Law' and The Cure's 'In Between days'.

Talking about the title track, singer Charlie Simpson said 'this song is about standing up for what you believe in without compromise. Whether it be in public protest or behind closed doors the best way to achieve your goals is to stand up and relentlessly fight for them'. He said 'The reason for choosing Silverchair's 'Abuse Me' ,is that they have been a huge influence on me from a very young age and I thought that this would be a great opportunity to pay tribute to them by covering one of my favourite songs of theirs'. 'I think the Cure are one of the most influential bands of our time and the song I chose to cover - 'In Between Days' was one of my favourites in their endless mass of classics. It also gave me an excuse to get out my harmonica!'
