Fatboy Slim bounds into 2005 with the third single from his critically
acclaimed album 'Palookaville'. A jaunty cover of the Steve Miller
classic, The Joker features the legendary Bootsy Collins
(Parliament/JBs) on vocals and is infused with quirky humour – vintage Fatboy, and a track repeatedly singled out for praise from the album.
Commercial formats will boast a wealth of remixes with more uptempo dancefloors being satisfied by ATFC and Yousef while those of a more laid back demeanour will be heartened by remixes from Lazyboy, Justin Robertson and Kid
Carpet.
The video from hot new director Jon Watts may well leave some
wondering if they're dreaming: kittens involved in various situations
in their bid to get to a Fatboy Slim concert. Packed full of visual
jokes as well as many an 'aaaaah' factor (if you're a kitten lover),
this is certainly memorable.
In March 2004, Fatboy Slim played a huge beach party in Rio for 300000 people. This time round Norman plays a 100 000 capacity beach party in Argentina, and headlines gigs in Chile,
Brazil and a huge party at the Motoring Race Track in Bogota in Columbia.
It's a totally unique tour from the worlds biggest DJ.
