With "Life In Slow Motion", his seventh album, topping the chart, it is fair to say that David Gray is as popular as he's ever been. Currently on a world tour, he'll return in the summer for festival appearances in Germany and Holland, as well as headlining Wireless in London.

The opening track from Gray's latest record, "Alibi" is a mournful piano ballad with stirring strings and a powerful vocal performance. It lacks the pop sensibilities of "Be Mine" or "The One I Love", so is unlikely to be a huge hit, but anyone who hears it will easily understand why Gray continues to one of the most successful UK male artists.
