Dave Spikey is back – the stand-up comedy sensation and co-creator of Phoenix Nights, returns to the home entertainment arena on 7th November 2005 with LIVING THE DREAM, a spellbinding stand up show, guaranteed to split your sides and get you gasping for breath! The DVD also includes CHASING THE DREAM a special documentary feature which sees Dave take the viewer on a nostalgic journey through the club scene.

Following the huge success of his 2003 Overnight Success Tour and best-selling live DVD, his recent performance on COMIC AID, alongside the likes of Eddie Izzard and Lee Evans, and his recent Spring 2005 LIVING THE DREAM tour, Spikey proves that his wit is as sharp as ever during this latest hilarious offering that was filmed at the Oldham Coliseum earlier this year.

The multi-faceted career of "Chorley's Face of Culture" has seen Dave Spikey win accolades for That Peter Kay Thing and Phoenix Nights, both of which he co-wrote with Peter Kay - his portrayal of Jerry "The Saint" St Clair, the long suffering compere in Phoenix Nights is recognised as a comedic highpoint.

as Team Captain on the Channel 4 show Eight Out of Ten Cats, have made him one of the most popular comedians on television. And if that is not enough – he is currently working on his next television projects; Magnolia, a comedy drama about a small firm of painters and decorators and Footballers Lives, a spoof documentary about a Sunday League Football team. He has recently filmed a trailer for this directed by the mighty Shane Meadows.

The Bolton Wanderers' fan and former Scientist, turned award winning comic, writer, and face of National Vegetarian Week 2005 began his stand-up and writing career when he was still working as Chief Biomedical Scientist in Haematology at The Royal Bolton Hospital. His versatility and appeal to different audiences was soon recognised and he famously once supported Max Boyce, Cannon and Ball, Jack Dee, Lee Evans and Eddie Izzard in the space of two weeks! - and returned to the lab in the day.

Now recognised as one of the UK's most prolific comedy talents, Spikey has hung up his lab coat for good and takes to the road again this Autumn with the second leg of his critically acclaimed LIVING THE DREAM tour between 5th October and 25th November
