Imminently to embark on the Australian leg of a mammoth World Tour, Irishman Damian Rice is promoting "9", the follow up to his highly successful "0" album. Reaching UK shores toward the end of March, the quartet of shows he is scheduled to play are all already sold out.

Best known for a remix of "Cannonball" (which he isn't actually a fan of), Rice is actually a powerful and dynamic songwriter, something perfectly displayed on this epic and surprisingly thunderous track. The intensity is brutal while his vocals remain heartfelt and show there is more to male singer-songwriters than James Blunt and James Morrison. They are the 'safe' sound that radio promotes, but Rice is certainly more talented that either if them.
