Mono sounds just like Lost Prophets’ ‘Burn Burn’ and I can’t think of it in any other way. Courtney Love still sounds as American bratty as she did in Hole with a bit of the Yeah, Yeah, Yeah’s thrown in but it doesn’t work this time around. Looking at the list of co-writers, Linda Perry (the woman who wrote Pink’s ‘Get the Party Started’) is on it which is and isn’t a surprise. It’s surprising, perhaps, that Love would consider working with her but judging by this sad, commercial attempt at punk rawk it’s not that much of a surprise.
