Paula Garces stars
alongside Jesse Bradford in childrens' sci-fi adventure Clockstoppers.
Paula's interest in performing developed
at the age of fifteen after she met her manager through a
friend of the family.
She has appeared in the feature films Marci
X, Harvest, Dangerous Minds, Life with Mikey and Hangin' Out
with the Homeboys.
Paula's television credits include New York
Undercover, Law and Order, Oz, and Guiding Light. She also
appeared in the Actor's Studio's production of Salt.
Paula grew up in Spanish Harlem, New York.
The bilingual actress enjoys kickboxing and dancing. Her birthday
is March 20.
Paula was 27 when she filmed Clockstoppers.
Francesca, her character, is 16 years old.
Paula is married to Antonio Hernandez (2002).
She has one daughter, Skye, born in 1992. She ended her relationship
with Skye's father in 2000.
CLOCKSTOPPERS is a sci-fi adventure about
Zak Gibbs (Jesse Bradford), a young man whose greatest challenge
up until now has been to find a way to buy a car. But when
Zak discovers an odd wristwatch amidst his fathers inventions
and slips it on something very strange happens. The
world around him seems to come to a stop, everything and everybody
frozen in time. Zak quickly learns how to manipulate the device
and he and his quick witted and beautiful new friend, Francesca
(Paula Garces), start to have some real fun
