(New York, NY) Sho’Nuff /La Face/Zomba Label Group recording artist Ciara proves that an ambitious 18-year old can succeed at what she sets her mind to. She has had the dream of becoming a singer for as long as she can remember. Her blazing single “Goodies” featuring Petey Pablo (which she co-wrote with Sean Garrett (Usher’s “Yeah”) steadily moves up on several charts. With a Billboard Hot 100 listening audience of almost 20 million, Ciara has tapped into every format – up to # 6 on the Top 40 Rhythm Monitor, # 13 on the R&B mainstream chart, and to #24 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart and continues to climb daily.

“Goodies” was produced by his royal crunkness Lil’ Jon and the album executive produced by well-known producer Jazze Pha and Anthony “TA” Tate. “I’m so happy I co-wrote ‘Goodies,’” Ciara enthuses. “I pray everybody gets it the way they’re supposed to.” In the hook, Ciara

warns, “If you’re looking for the goodies keep on looking ‘cause they stay in the jar.” “A guy thinks you’re gonna be with him because he’s got the iced out chain, he’s popular and all that. That ain’t gonna make me give you my number and that’s definitely not gonna make me go home with you. It’s the truth.” The single is the first hit single from her debut album, GOODIES, which arrives in stores September 14th. In addition to cuts produced by Lil’ Jon, the album also finds the young artist in the studio with Jazze Pha at the controls, producer Sean Garrett (Usher) and Johnta Austin (Toni Braxton, Aaliyah).

The promotional video for Goodies has been completed with Benny Boom whose credits include the “My Place” video with Nelly and the “Should’ve Known Better” clip with Monica.
