Chikinki release ‘Like
It Or Leave It’ through the Island Records Group on
8th March 2004. Following on from the NME runner-up single
of the week single ‘Assassinator 13.’
Chance and destiny threw all five members
of Chikinki together (Rupert Browne (vocals), Steve Bond
(drums), Ed East (guitar),
Boris (keyboards) and Trevor Wensley (keyboards) in Bristol
in the late 1990s. Arriving from the scattered corners of
Britain, they ended
up sharing a house in the city's Bedminster district. Chikinki
Heights remains the band's nerve centre, home base and DIY
recording studio.
