Despite the fact that it takes too long to kick in, Chikinki’s breakthrough single is worth the wait. In their own words, they ‘fuse guitars, electronics and cocksure rock and roll swagger into a bold and sexy sound’. It might not be especially sexy, but it certainly is slightly different. A little along the same lines as Electrasy used to be – if anyone even remembers them at all - but let’s just hope they don’t make the same mistakes and just vanish before they get a real chance. This is but a single glorious taste of their debut album, produced by one of U2’s spare wheels (Steve Osbourne).
