23
year old South Londoner Cassius Henry has teamed up with
heavyweight US super-producer Kanye West and Roca-fella rapper
Freeway on the release on June 21st of his brand new single ”The
One”. The collaborations continue on his soon to be
completed album, “Little Big Man” which find
Cassius also teaming up with the likes of Wyclef Jean, So
Solid Crew’s Megaman and top producers Ignorants. Cassius
is well used to rubbing shoulders with Hip Hip/R&B royalty
having opened for amongst others R. Kelly, Faith Evans, Mis-teeq
and Angie Stone on recent tours.
Having signed his record deal back
in 2001, Cassius went on to chart Top 30 with his first
single “Broke” and
turned a whole lot of heads in the process. The track was
hammered by DJ’s across the Urban spectrum leading
to mainstream play, from Trevor Nelson to the Dreem Teem,
from Choice Fm through to Kiss FM. The video was made by
Brit Awards Winners Bullet Films whose memorable period poorhouse-style
production got the young star noticed via The Box, Kiss Tv
and MTV. By the time Cassius reached CDUK and TOTP’s
his reputation was firmly in place
