'Frontline' is the infectious debut single from newcomers Captain. Recently signed to At Large Recordings, the London based five piece are set to inject a well needed boost of feel-good soulful melody back into the music scene.

The band came together from a bizarre variety of backgrounds, personally and musically. They resemble a living 'Breakfast Club', a ragbag of very different personalities with conflicting musical tastes but a determination and inner belief that collectively they can make magic. They share a vision constructed from a love of Billy Corgan, Bacharach, Bjork, the Arcade Fire, Bob Mould, Steely Dan, 1930s movies and supreme entertainers from Sinatra to Wayne Coyne. Mix in a touch of British attitude and you get somewhere near the Captain sound.

With hot support from Radio 1 and BBC 6Music, the single is already making the right noises in all the right places. Zane Lowe recently made 'Frontline' his 'Hottest Record in the World', and Steve Lamacq is such a big fan that he snapped the band up do to a Lamacq Session on December 5th.

BBC 6Music have added the single to their A list and have booked an acoustic session with Gideon Coe, also to be broadcast on December 5th. And not wishing to miss out on all the fun, XFM have also put 'Frontline' on their evening playlist..... All in all a very healthy start.
