Have
you ever wanted to see Ryu and Blanka kick ten bells of shit
out of the SNK posse? Well here is your chance Capcom vs SNK
Pro.
This is the ultimate beat-em-up grudge match of all time.
Over the history of SF six buttons have been assigned for
combat, three punch button and three kick buttons, each of
the three buttons provides a different level of damage to
your opponent, weak, medium and hard. SNK on the other hand
SNK have used four buttons with two levels of damage rather
than three. So Capcom have decided to give SNK Pro only the
four buttons, which you would have though would reduce the
SF arsenal, but gladly it doesn't and SF characters perform
just as perfectly as I remember.
SNK fans will be slightly disappointed that some of the special
moves have been dropped for this huge fight fest. On the other
hand though some of the characters do play better as the movement
has been improved and some of those special moves that have
been dropped have been replace by some better high kicking
action.
Street Fighter is possibly the game I have played most in
my life and this is no disappointment. On the other hand I
have never really been a fan of the SNK series of beat-em
ups but this is truly brilliant.
What makes the game though is the super special moves, they
are very pleasing on the eye and even more pleasing when one
connects with your opponent. A typical fight will be edge
of the seat action, then when your super special move power
bar is full you can let it rip, fantastic.
The game difficulty can be altered for people who are a bit
wet behind the ears, whatever your skill rating there is some
top quality action to be had. To beat the game on its hardest
mode you will have to be a true Jedi master of the beat-em
up world.
Capcom have done it again and produce another classic beat-em
up, with balanced game play, fast and furious action. The
only negative thing I can say is that they should have done
this before.
Brilliant!
