QUATTRO (WORLD DRIFTS IN)

CALEXICO have confirmed details of the first single to be taken from their recent album FEAST OF WIRE. Currently basking in critical acclaim warmer than their native Tucson sun, Joey Burns and John Convertino are also celebrating the fact that FEAST OF WIRE debuted in the European charts at #25, and shipped almost 100,000 copies in its first two weeks.

QUATTRO (WORLD DRIFTS IN) is released on April 28th, and is available on CD. One of the highlights of the recent album, it showcases Burns’ way with a killer melody and his increasingly potent voice, Convertino’s endlessly inventive rhythms, and songwriting that is understated but unforgettable. The single features two exclusive B-sides, the accordion waltz of Praskovia and Pampa, which recalls the soundscapes created by Ry Cooder for the legendary Paris, Texas soundtrack. Artwork, as ever, is by Victor Gastelum. A video has also been shot in the streets of New York.

CALEXICO have confirmed four UK dates to take place around the release of the single. Tickets are selling fast. Further dates, including festival appearances, are currently being finalised. The current line up of shows is as follows:
