Philadelphias
blistering 3-piece Burning Brides release their new album
Fall Of The Plastic Empire on 7th April. Burning Brides are
also currently supporting their latest single Plank Of Fire,
released this week, on a mammoth tour of the UK.
Fall Of The Plastic Empire was recently
described by the NME as one of the first great LPs
of the year. It features eleven manic, bile-bellied
scorching wedges of radio-friendly metal, powered by a catchy
50s pop savvy.
Songs like Rainy Days and Glass
Slipper pound hard, but arent afraid to pop either.
Vocalist Dimitri Coats, whose vocal influences range from
Jim Morrison to Iggy Pop, punctuates the aggressive tracks
with charmingly honest lyrics.
Add cool rock chick bassist Melanie Campbell
and former Hot Snakes/Delta 72 demon drummer Jason Kourkounis
and youve got the makings of something very special.
Track-listing for Fall Of The Plastic Empire
goes like this:
Plank Of Fire / Glass Slipper / If Im
A Man / Arctic Snow / At The Levity Ball / Stabbed In The
Back Of The Heart / Rainy Days / Elevator / Blood On The Highway
/ Plastic Empire / See You Empty
Burning Brides recently came crashing over
to these shores where they played some incendiary live shows
to promote their last single offering The Glass Slipper
EP. They are on tour now in the UK fresh from supporting Audioslave
in the US.
