BodyRockers - album review

Creep - out on DVD 6th June

With a collection of rock versus dance mix ups, the BodyRockers have hit the spot with their new album, released on 18 th April 2005.

The self-titled album only took 4 hours to make and caused mayhem throughout Europe . This fantastic collaboration of hits has also netted the boys a 5 album deal with Mercury Records.

“I like the way you move” is the reason you'll like this album, so if you do then you'll love the rest. It's certainly the reason Pete Tong made it his essential tune of the year! The single is only a taste of what you'll find. Similarities to this song include “Round and Round” with its dance – associated beats that will have you dancing and perspiring as it sounds too good to be true.

Each song has its own individuality, with rocking beats and electric guitar strings - this album is not for the faint hearted – be prepared to rock! Or party!

What I really love about the album is that it deals with different genres of music, my favourite is the piece of classical music on “Handel on your face”. It gives out a dramatic sound to get the album started and hits you right in the face as you wouldn't expect from the Brit/Australian duo.

You'll also catch some funky beats in “Dirty” with clashes of a sexy style in “New York City Girl” and “I like the way you move” throughout, however they have gone for the rock path in “Keep your boots on” and have pulled it off.

The magnetic 11-piece album will have you wanting more, the duo really have made a worthy album. The beats are just phenomenal which will captivate you however, lyrically it tends to be repetitive. Just listen to the music and you tend to forget all about lyrics, which tend to be fairly poor. The music speaks for itself when listening to this jam packed, rocking album.

The guys are going to be touring throughout the summer and will grace Glastonbury on 24 th June. They will also be launching the club opening of Movida on 8 th June.

The BodyRockers are definitely ones for the future. So look out…
