Blood Brothers - Set Fire To The Face On Fire - Single Review

Blood Brothers
Set Fire To The Face On Fire
Single Review

Formed in the music holy land that is Seattle in 1997, this five-piece have recently completed a UK tour with Help She Can't Swim and are now terrorising mainland Europe. This track is taken from "Young Machetes", the follow up to their debut record "Crimes".

Setting fire to a face on fire. how cruel would that be?! A brutal act of violence, it's an attitude which is carried through to the music of this track which thumps, thrashes and screeches through the duration of just under two-and-a-half minutes. Though far from death-metal, it does have the same effect of bemusing due to the lack of actual 'music', despite all the noise. It can safely be said that Blood Brothers are not a band that will excite many.

There's a couple of problems with this review, that it: Is incorrect; 'Crimes' was certainly not the band's debut. Does not say anything; it does not really review the song at all or even mention the b-sides.
