Blackbud release Forever through Independiente on October 16th. On debut album From The Sky Blackbud have distilled blues-rock riffs, euphoric melodies and soaring vocals to astonishing effect.

New single Forever dazzles with the same romance and mystique that shrouded the album. Hints of flamenco and country are pitched alongside a chorus with an immediacy defined by early Radiohead, refined by Muse and now deployed in remarkable new ways by Blackbud. Here, as on the album, Blackbud defy eras and transcend Rock's sub-genres.

Lead singer Joe Taylor's prolific songwriting talent has afforded the band such a strong selection of material that three new songs are included here across two single formats. On the CD single, yearning acoustic ballad So It Seems sees Taylor employ a more earthy vocal a top a fret shredding riff, whilst during the blues-swing jam Here Lies A Song, Taylor approximates what might have happened had Eric Clapton ever shared a guitar solo with Django Reinhardt.

The single is graced with Spider, a sparse soul number, evoking the ghost of Jeff Buckley and offering Blackbud's army of live devotees a chorus of tremendous sing-a-long potential.

Backed by the endorsement of Jimmy Page, Zane Lowe, David Bottrill and Michael Eavis (with whom they recorded an exclusive Times podcast) it's clear that Blackbud's star is sharply on the ascendant.
