Toronto-based quartet Billy Talent, release ‘River Below’ on July 5 through Atlantic Records. ‘River Below’ is the third single to be taken from the band’s self-titled debut album that was released in the autumn of last year.

Surging with passion and instantly displaying Billy Talent’s knack of crafting supremely catchy hooks around off-kilter riffs, ‘River Below’ sees vocalist Ben Kowalewicz in storytelling mode. A track that leaves the listener to weigh up whether it’s a tale inspired by a Columbine Massacre offshoot or more recent terrorist atrocities around the world.

Regardless of the outcome, the band’s incisive chronicles are set behind a dance-floor filling backdrop with Ian D’Sa’s backing vocals playing an important part in the schizophrenic nature of the song.
