be your own PET are teenagers Jamin, Jonas, Nathan and Jemina. They have just finished their eponymous debut album which will be released through XL recordings. Produced by Steve McDonald of LA proto-grungers, Red Kross, its 15 fuzzy, sub-three minute song-blasts overflowing with ideas and energy.

They release their new single, Adventure on March 13th. The video was shot in Northern California up Big Bear Mountain with the band dresses in hunter's garb, armed with bow and arrows hunting humans dressed as rabbits!

2005 proved quite a year for be your own PET. They released two blistering singles, Damn Damn Leash and Fire Department to much attention plus made frequent visits to the UK to play Glastonbury and the Reading/Leeds festivals. Japan also want crazy for Jemina, Nathan, Jamin and Jonas. The band recently completed a headline tour of the UK in January which included a storming gig for John Kennedy at The Barfly and a performance in Dundee for Zane Lowe which was broadcast live on Radio 1 . The band will return to the UK in April.
