'Conceived'

The new Beth Orton single, 'Conceived', is released on Monday 30th January 2006. It comes as the prelude to her fourth album, 'Comfort of Strangers', which is in stores on Monday 13th February.

The single is Orton's first new release in almost three years. It was produced by Jim O'Rourke - most recently the guitarist and bass player with New York's legendary Sonic Youth - who also worked with Beth on the full 'Comfort of Strangers' album.

The day after the album release, Beth and her band embark on an 11-date UK tour - her first since 2004. The full schedule is:
