The new single ‘Rush Song’ Released May 2 nd on London Records
The mighty ‘A’ return with a statement of intent when they release the single ‘RushSong’, the first to be taken from their upcoming fourth album
‘TeenDanceOrdinance’, on May 2 nd on LondonRecords.
Produced by TerryDate (Pantera, Deftones, Soundgarden), ‘RushSong’ is indicative of the rawer and more metallic
direction of the new album, coming across like a PerryFarrell-fronted CaveIn covering the veteran Canadian progsters whom the title alludes to.
“It’s a really bold statement”, says keyboardist GilesPerry. “We’re back and this is what you can expect from the new album”.
Aside from the single, ‘TeenDanceOrdinance’ (released July2 nd) finds ‘A’ fully realising their potential.
‘A’ have been best known in the past as a band that fires out melodic pop-punk firecrackers and that continues on this album with ‘SomeoneElse’ and
‘BetterOffWithHim’. However, the darker, rawer side of the band is in evidence throughout, with ‘SecondComing’, ‘WakeUp’ and
‘TheArtOfMakingSense’ all pulverising slabs of pure rock ferocity that indicate a fresh direction for the five-piece.
‘A’ are set to introduce the incendiary sounds of ‘Teen Dance Ordinance’ with an exclusive four-night residency at London’sMetro
running from April4 th-April7 th. Each night will be themed differently with a different set by the band, a different support band and a different DJ each night. Fans can vote for their favourite
‘A’ tracks at the band’s official site. The Metro gigs (all SOLD OUT) will offer fans the first chance to hear tracks from the new album played live, as well as a chance to see the band in an intimate environment
in comparison to their last London headline date at Brixton Academy.
‘A’ will also play a full UK tour in May. Please turn over for the full dates.
