A WALK TO REMEMBER an inspiring coming
of age love story, will open throughout the UK on 13th September
2002.
Jamie Sullivan (Moore) was the last person
that popular super-cool Landon Carter (West) was likely to
fall for. Jamie was as far from ‘A List’ as she
could possibly get especially in contrast to Landon, a main
player in the in-crowd who breezed through school on looks,
charisma and popularity. Feelings for each other soon change
however when they repeatedly spend time together and as a
result alter their lives forever…
Mandy Moore picked up an award for Best
Breakthrough Performance for her role in the film at the MTV
Movie Awards in June. She is a multi-talented and multi-platinum
artist who writes and sings her own original songs. Moore
has toured with N Sync and the Backstreet Boys and sings several
of the tracks on the soundtrack which accompanies the film.
A WALK TO REMEMBER which is based
on the Nicholas Sparks novel, also stars Daryl Hannah (Dancing
at the Blue Iguana, Splash, Steel Magnolias) as Landon’s
mother, Peter Coyote (ET, Femme Fatale) who takes the role
of Jamie’s father, and amongst others Lauren German (Down
To You) who plays Landon’s ex-girlfriend. Directed by
Adam Shankman (The Wedding Singer), from a screenplay by Karen
Janszen, A WALK TO REMEMBER is produced by Denise Di Novi
and Hunt Lowry. E.K. Gaylord II, Bill Johnson, Casey La Scala
and Edward L. McDonnell serve as executive producers.
Warner Bros. Pictures presents, in association
