Aqualung
release ‘Easier
To Lie’, the second single to be taken from their universally
acclaimed album ‘Still Life’, on March 8th via
B-Unique. The ‘Easier To Lie’ single is the remix
by Mike ‘Spike’ Stent (Oasis, U2) as featured
on the recently repackaged version of ‘Still Life.’
Described by Aqualung singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist
Matt Hales as a song about “how hard it is to be good”, ‘Easier
To Lie’ is an immediately memorable song full of raw
emotion. Grand and imposing, ‘Easier To Lie’ is
classic-pop in the best of traditions.
Aqualung’s self-titled debut album was released in
2002 following the massive hit ‘Strange and Beautiful
(I’ll Put A Spell On You)’. With sales in excess
of 200,000, the success of the album put Hales on the musical
map and marked him out as one of Britain’s strongest
emerging songwriter. The follow-up, ‘Still Life’,
was released last Autumn winning the praise of critics from
the specialist music press through to the broadsheets, as
well as spawning the Top 40 single ‘Brighter Than Sunshine’.
Aqualung have announced their first
full-band headline tour since the release of their current
universally praised B-Unique
album ‘Still Life.’ The dates will follow hot

and unusual venues that began in January.
