Angels and Airwaves unleash their new single 'The Adventure' on May 8th through Island Records, it is followed by the band's debut album 'We Don't Need a Whisper' on May 22nd

Featuring ex Blink 182 guitarist/singer Tom DeLonge, Boxcar Racer's, David Kennedy, on rhythm guitar, The Offspring drummer, Adam "Atom" Willard and former Distillers' bass player Ryan Sinn, the American supergroup are ready to launch themselves on the UK. The four gathered at Tom's studio, Never Pants Ranch, record the album with Tom producing. While the tracks span the musical spectrum, each is powered by muscular beats, lean guitars and Tom's fractious take on life. "Valkyrie Missile," one of the CD's more apocalyptic songs, serves as "a great introduction to AVA," he notes. "It says that something special can come out of destruction." Others, like "It Hurts" and the album's first singe, "The Adventure," keep in the anthemic swing of things. Says Tom of the latter, "It's got big programmed beats, a big crescendo and the guitar riffing people expect of me – but it sounds like it comes from the future."
