Andrea Wilde first picked up a guitar aged 15, when she was writing poems about her experiences as a Hertfordshire teenager. Early influences were Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Doors, Dusty Springfield and Joan Armatrading.
Aged 19 and armed with Dutch courage, she practically threw herself on stage: "I jumped in at the deep end and just did it. I felt sick before going on and I wasn't amazing, but it was a proud moment." Her first recording session followed with ITV's 'Young, Broke and Gifted,' which hooked her up with a management/development deal and propelled her onto London's gig scene.
Andrea releases her debut single, 'I'm In Love' on 9 April, check out the video on contactmusic.
