New Alpinestars Video Snow Patrol

WHO? The Alpinestars: Richard Woolgar and Glyn Thomas, two manchester based artists with a fetish for electricity presenting their second long player, 'White Noise'. A multi-dimensional amalgam of middle-European influences, it comprises 11 tracks of driving machine-funk, moody elegies and class-A disco music. Depeche Mode, Giorgio Moroder, Phoenix and New Order are some of the people who it may remind you of. Quite possibly at the same time.

The last time you heard from Alpinestars, they had just released their stunning debut album 'B.A.S.I.C', a winter wonderland of blissed out melodies and ice-sharp drum patterns.

Since then Richard Woolgar and Glyn Thomas have been honing their sound, in part influenced by their euphoric live shows across Europe, at Fabric and Robodisco in Manchester. The new material is bigger, warmer, with more vocals, live guitar, strings and drums, altogether more diverse; more intense.

Snow Patrol is the first fruit of the new material: a regimented, sharpened synth anthem that perfects and eclipses everything the band has done before. Trademark Alpinestars yet providing glimpses of their new found depths.

... Save Your Soul.

Alpinestars will be releasing 'Snow Patrol' on 4th March 2002 through Riverman Records.
