Oklahoma's finest return with 'Dirty Little Secrets' released on 19th September through Interscope/Doghouse Records. 'Dirty Little Secrets' is the first single to be taken from their brand new album 'Move Along', the follow-up to their now platinum selling 2003 self titled debut,
Rewind to 2003 and the AAR were riding high in the UK charts with their summer feel-good anthem 'Swing Swing'. A sold-out UK tour, T In The Park, Reading & Leeds and V2004 followed. After the success of their debut, the band also secured their first MTV Video Music Award nomination for Best New Artist.
Produced by Howard Benson (Hoobastank, My Chemical Romance, P.O.D), founding members Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler spent 10 months writing 'Move Along' in their makeshift writing rooms (Ritter: the beach. Wheeler: his tiny home studio). Ritter describes Benson as "the candy-man. He suggests simplistic arrangement changes that rip the songs a new asshole."
'Move Along' is poised to vault the bands finely crafted mix of rock/pop/mayhem to the next level – the first release will be the picture-perfect power-pop single 'Dirty Little Secret'. The band's seemingly long hiatus kept fans wondering, but when they listen to the All-American Rejects new album, they'll know why…Ritter and the band took the time to craft 12 great pop/rock songs. "We were gone for a year and a half," says Ritter. "We were petrified. But now we feel like everything happened on this record, but so much more."
In the US through consistent touring they have built a devout fan base, the band are currently on the Warped Tour performing on the main stage and will be heading to the UK in August for Reading and Leeds, as well as playing the London Islington Academy on September 9th.
