| New Ali G Movie In Da House | |
|
Ali G caused controversy on Radio 1s breakfast show just
weeks ahead of his movie release. Host Sara Cox was twice forced to apologise to listeners as Staines Massive leader Ali swore live on air before joking he had smuggled weed back from Jamaica and knobbed J Lo. Earlier in the interview the spoof hip-hop guru, alter-ego of Sacha Baron Cohen, dubbed Pop Idol winner Will Young a batty boy and fellow contestant Gareth Gates spasticated. The BBC says there is "no question" of Cox being reprimanded over Ali G's outbursts. A spokesman said she "did everything she could" to avoid Ali G causing offence. "The difficulty was that it was near-the-knuckle stuff but it was content which is typical of Ali G's style. "We are certainly extremely apologetic to any of our listeners and Sara's apology was issued immediately afterwards." ALI G INDAHOUSE is released through United International Pictures on March 22 2002. | ![]() |
