Ali G fans unite! One of the most eagerly
awaited retail releases of 2002 has finally arrived, just
in time for Christmas, as Ali G's outrageous movie debut is
now available to own on DVD and video from Monday 11 November.
As the third most successful British film of the year, ALI
G INDAHOUSE was also one of the most controversial, outrageous
and hilarious, generating over £10 million at the box
office. Filmed on location in Los Angeles, London and Staines,
ALI G INDAHOUSE takes Ali from the ghettos of Hollywood to
the Houses of Parliament (via Staines high street and his
nan's house of course).
The original superstar from Staines, aided and abetted by
his loyal posse, the West Staines massive, emerges as the
unlikeliest of Parliamentary candidates, when he unwittingly
becomes a pawn in the evil Chancellor's plot to overthrow
the Prime Minister of Great Britain. However, instead of bringing
the Prime Minister down, Ali is embraced by the nation as
the voice of youth and 'realness', making the Prime Minister
and his government more popular than ever. And to top it all
- we get to meet mejulie!
Starring Sacha Baron Cohen as Ali G, Martin
Freeman (from BBC TV's 'The Office') as his sidekick Ricky
C, and Rhona Mitra as the Chancellor's foxy personal assistant,
Kate, ALI G INDAHOUSE also features cameo appearances by Charles
Dance as the scheming Chancellor and Michael Gambon as the
hapless Prime Minister.
The DVD release comes with exclusive 'Bone Us' material, including
audio commentary by Ali G and Ricky C (not for those easily
offended!); Scenes not innit, innit? (deleted scenes); video
diary (behind the scenes) and a special 'Talkin da talk' glossary
of Ali G speak.
Ali G Indahouse is released on November 11th
