| We are a punk band. Why? We do
exactly what we want. We dont sound like anyone
else
Lee Gorton Mancunian rockers
alfie
release their new album A Word In Your Ear on March 25.
It comes hot on the
heels of their identically titled single, which was
released
March 4, and coincides with the band's new UK tour.
Its been a
busy time behind the scenes in the world of alfie, but
those
purveyors of Chorlton sunshine have come to fill the niche
in your spring market. A Word
In Your Ear offers up ten brand new numbers for your
personal
enjoyment, including live favourites Bends For 72 Miles and
Cloudy Lemonade, as well as Reverse Midas Touch which was
premiered on the flipside of You Make No Bones last year.
This is the music
of Englands West Coast and a five-part harmony never
sounded so sweet. Unsurprisingly,
singer Lee sums up alfie best: Weve been
labelled
everything from baggy to folk to psychedelia. I dont
think anyone has got it spot on yet.
And with A
Word In Your Ear, youre gonna have to try ever
harder...
