Alesha finally steps out on her own with the release of her hugely anticipated debut single 'Lipstick' on August 14th through Polydor records. The super cool, sassy single is set to seal her place as the UK's first lady of pop.

The single - which Alesha wrote - urges women to stop bitching about each other and unite. "Why do you think that every girl out there's your enemy." she hollers over an infectious loud and frantic beat produced by Anders Bagge [Madonna/Jennifer Lopez]

Look out for the remix of 'Lipstick' which has been reworked by Ignorants and features leading UK MC Shystie alongside Alesha.

Alesha's debut album 'Fired Up' is due for release this October. Working with a stellar list of producers including Jonny Douglas [George Michael] Richard X [M.I.A] Paul Epworth [Bloc Party] and Brian Higgins [Girls Aloud] 'Fired Up' is one of the most exciting records to come out of the UK in recent years. The eclectic sounds are all wrapped in Alesha's electrifying vocals. She sings, she raps, she smashes it.
