Hand picked by The Raconteurs to open their first UK shows this year, 747s release their new single 'Night & Day' through Ark Recordings on 29th May 2006. With ascending harmonies and a rollicking R&B rhythm like a Heroes-era Bowie, 'Night & Day' is about the end of a relationship - one that felt, "Literally like someone chopping my arm off" according to singer Oisin Leech. The debut album by the 747s will be released on Ark Recordings in August 2006, but for now, 'Night & Day' is a taster of why Jack White felt a kinship with them; song writing, musicianship and free spirit in a sea of copyists.
