Warner Home Video invites you back in time to ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. for the DVD release of the fantastical feature film that launched the gorgeous Raquel Welch to super stardom.

Raquel Welch stars in this spectacular fantasy adventure set in a pre-historic land before time began. Caveman Tumak (John Richardson) is banished by his savage tribe and briefly settles with a rival group of peaceful coastal-dwellers where he meets the beautiful Loana (Raquel Welch). When Tumak is banished again for primeval behaviour, Loana chooses to ignore their tribal differences and brave the dangers of the unforgiving prehistoric world to be by his side. Can their love protect them in this hostile land of belching volcanoes, terrifying earthquakes and bloodthirsty dinosaurs?

The magical dinosaurs at the heart of this fantasy adventure were created by special-effects legend Ray Harryhausen, who has thrilled moviegoers with his many triumphs including Clash of the Titans, and the ground breaking skeleton army in Jason & the Argonauts. A pioneer in the art of stop-motion animation, Harryhausen's unique effects brought to life the dazzlingly realistic movements of the Brontosaurus, Pteranodon and baby Pterodactyls featured in One Million Years B.C. and in 1966 were hailed as amongst the most celebrated effects in film history.

This attractively packaged DVD features insightful interviews with stars Raquel Welch and Ray Harryhausen as well as the original 1966 theatrical trailer that introduced this, the one-hundredth film produced by the legendary Hammer studios, to spellbound audiences.
