Young Knives release their new single 'Turn Tail' on May 19th 2008 through Transgressive Records, this will be the third single from the groups latest album 'Superabundance'. In typical offbeat Young Knives style, the band have opted for some unusual release formats for the single - which will be available on both limited edition CD and 7".
Turn Tail is the third single release from Young Knives new critically acclaimed album Superabundance. Possibly the biggest record in the Knives recording history, Turn Tail is a fine example of Young Knives doing melodic pop with massive abandon. Lyrical style at its best - wise and mysterious, yet compellingly vague, Turn Tail's epic chorus 'We're all slaves on this ship, we're all slaves on this ship, this ship's sinking. we will not reach the shore, we will not reach the shore, reach the shore' is suitably epic yet dark. The track also features a sixteen-piece orchestra. The soaring string section surges and expands around the palpably tight organics of the band - creating a whole new dimension for Young Knives.
Young Knives are currently on their 'Off The Beaten Track Tour' visiting a myriad of towns they have never performed in previously. International dates, including a stint in Hong Kong, yet more triumphant British festivals dates and a fuller national UK tour will follow throughout the remainder of 2008.
