'Love No' released March 10th 2008 on Merok Records/ XL
Since the release of the highly sought after 'Homecoming' EP and the latest stunning single 'Starlett Johansson', The Teenagers have built up their status from Myspace cult favourites to bonafide pop lovelies. Having played a whole host of live gigs this year from the VICE tour to Reading, the handsome threesome have left a trail of weak-kneed boys and girls wanting more.
New single 'Love No' continues with The Teenagers cleverly crafted brand of synth-pop laced with candid lyrics about everything you say, but would never hear on a record! It was only a matter of time before The Teenagers who are in love with - you guessed it - all things teenage penned a track that had all the pubescent angst of a hormonal all girl's school.
Opening with intense inter tangled guitar chords and kicking drums the boys build to the chorus chanting furiously over the shrill backdrop "I'm not in love I'm not in love, with you. But it's ok to stay with you, I'm not in love oh oh."
With his distinctive part spoken - part sung delivery, Parisian lead singer Quentin Delafon trawls through a multitude of no no's in relationship land - touching on all things youth culture, as only The Teenagers could, including eating too much 'greeezey' food, partying too much, watching 'Showgirls' on repeat, speaking to your ex and smoking too much.
As one of the most intriguing and unique musical properties to tease us in 2007 The Teenagers debut album released March 2008 looks be a tantalising lo-fi pop treat.
