The Music release a new single 'The Spike' on August 11th 2008 through Yes Please / Polydor. This is the follow-up single to their come back single 'Strength In Numbers', both singles are featured on the bands third album released in June 2008.

The Spike was recorded at The Townhouse in London and Flood produced by Paul Hartnoll (Orbital) and Flood (Killers / U2). The band are currently playing a set of dates in Australia after playing Fuji Rock Festival.
