R.E.M release their new single 'Hollow Man' on June 2nd 2008 through Warner Records. Hollow Man is taken from R.E.M's UK number 1 album, 'Accelerate'. This single, is R.E.M. at their vital best. Written by R.E.M.- Michael Stipe, Peter Buck and Mike Mills- and produced by Jacknife Lee the single is just one of the highlights of REM's critically acclaimed new album, 'Accelerate'.

'Hollow Man' manages that uniquely R.E.M. trick of being subtle and anthemic, accomplished and urgent all at once. The single follows rave reviews for 'Accelerate' which has proved a massive hit, both in Europe and the U.S where it reached number 2.

Recorded in Dublin, Vancouver and Athens, 'Accelerate' is the band's first studio album since 'Around The Sun' in 2004 and the 14th of their glorious career. Long time collaborators drummer Bill Rieflin and guitarist Scott McCaughey also feature on the album.

R.E.M. tour the US from May 23 to June 21 before embarking on a European tour starting July 2nd in Amsterdam.
