'The Shock of the Lightning' is the first single from Oasis' new album 'Dig Your Soul', the band also recently announced a set of UK tour dates!

In a similar idea to Radiohead, Oasis are going to release a special box set, it will include four heavyweight 12" vinyl discs, two CDs, a DVD and hardback book all housed within an embossed hardback box.

The Shock of the Lightning will be released on September 29th 2008 whilst the album will follow on October 6th 2008.
