Felix Da Housecat starts 2008 with his new single, "Radio", released on March 31st, which is said to be one of the highlights of his fantastic third album, Virgo Blaktro & The Movie Disco. With its cascading "I can't live without my radio" chorus. Executive produced by Dallas Austin (Kelis, Gwen Stefani, TLC etc), this is Felix's most accessible single to date.

"Radio"'s remix duties have been handled by three quite different talents. Wall of Sound label mates Infadels, turn in a jittery tech-punk oddity, one for the freakier dancefloors. Felix's long-time pal and all-round New York house champ Junior Sanchez muscles in on "Radio" with a punishing rerub that zooms and buckles like a disco apocalypse. Completing the package, Japan's leading new-rave techno-pop maestro Shinichi Osawa composes a Soulwax-esque electro-glide.

Not only is Virgo Blaktro Felix's black soul odyssey, it's also one of the purest pop rushes you'll hear all year. Says Felix: "I wanted to go Parliament, I wanted to go Sly And The Family Stone, I wanted to go black Prince. But at the same time I wanted to go like George Michael and Pet Shop Boys - only them being black, 'cos this stuff is all black-influenced. So I had to do this Blaktro record. "

Felix continues: "To guys like Justice, Digitalism and Boyz Noize, I'm more of an 'old school contemporary' guy. I leave it up to them to make the noise, 'cos I've done that. Now I'm more into making songs, telling stories and good melodies - sorta like how Prince was."
