Dead Confederate release The Rat as a single through Kartel Records on November 2nd, this is the first single from their impressive debut album 'Wrecking Ball', which will follow on November 9th. The Atlanta, Georgia band formed in 2006 and have since toured the with the likes of A Place To Bury Strangers, Dinosaur Jr, REM, Black Lips and Deerhunter. Capitol Records A&R man Gary Ganesh - who signed Nirvana to Geffen in the 90's - heard Dead Confederates demos in a friends car and imediatley got in contact with the band and set up meetings. Shortly after, the band released their first EP through The Artist Organization.

Dead Confederate come over to the UK on December 1st and play Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, London.
