Review of 'Be The One' single by The Ting Tings.

You'd be hard pressed to find a way for 2008 to have been a better year for Salford duo The Ting Tings, with a number one album and single aligned to sell out tours and acclaimed festival appearances. Such is their popularity that before their next stint on the road has even begun they've had to announce new dates in the spring to satisfy demand.

The forth single to be listed from "We Started Nothing", this track takes a more subtle approach than previous offerings such as chart-topper "That's Not My Name". Still unashamedly pop, it is another example of a fine catchy melody; while Katie White's usual vocals are softened, resulting in a natural blend with Jules de Martino's tones. If this is to be the last output from the current record's campaign it leaves a sweet taste which few acts are currently bettering.
