Stars and Sons - In The Ocean Single Review

In The Ocean single review from Stars and Sons.

Stars and Sons created by Mike Lord and influenced by bands such as The Flaming Lips and Ben Folds Five release ‘In The Ocean’. It has that feel good sensibility that The Magic Numbers had although it doesn’t move me in the same way. In fact I find it kind of cheesy.

The up bits seem obvious and the jingle jangle euphoria doesn’t move me. It seems too obvious although that could be good for some as it’s very instant. To me it seems like a popcorn moment that could easily be thrown in the ocean but hey we all need a bit of pop at some time or another.
